Back To My Roots - Macro

Back in the late 1800’s or…. maybe a little later I started with a Nikon D3200 camera taking pictures of my kids. Shortly after I decided I loved taking photos and that I should do other things since I already had a camera. So… I saw people taking photos of bugs and thought that’s cool I want to do that. I purchased a manual focus 50mm and some extension tubes. I was all in for about $100 and off we went. Every night once my family went to bed I went outside to take photos of bugs in the middle of the night. I got some cool stuff but honestly it was decent at best. Fast forward and I moved into wildlife and left macro behind.

The other day I was sitting outside in my backyard and saw some bees on some flowers we had on the back patio and thought… I’m going to get out there and take a few shots. I miss macro. So I did.. And to be honest they are much better than back when I started.
