Lake Hummingbirds
There are a few animals that I am truly obsessed with…. Bison (obviously), Flamingos, Gorillas, Chimpanzees, Orangutans (Yes I love the Apes)… and one that you wouldn’t think… Hummingbirds.
At the lake I have a deck that I sit on and watch my Hummingbird feeder busy with Hummingbird activity. As I have sat there morning after morning I have figured out where those tiny little birds fly off to at Mach 4. It’s in the tree in my front yard and they sit on one of about four branches. Every morning I get my coffee, go upstairs to the deck, take out my Z8 and 180-600 lens and wait for the hummingbirds. Truly what I love in the mornings!
Yes I know the last image isn’t a Hummingbird but this guy landed in the same tree and I liked the small patch of light hitting him in a dark tree..
