Ducks, Chickens and Models
Interesting shoot to say the least.
I was talking to a friend of mine - Robert Trawick… a great photographer and he had the idea of doing a shoot in downtown Oklahoma City that was a spin off or making fun of.. people in high fashion areas of the country.. Beverly Hills, New York.. You get the picture. There are numerous images of these areas of women doing fashion shoots in expensive clothes and walking either greyhounds, afghans, etc… Robert had the idea of shooting fashion models walking ducks or chickens. Now you get the picture..
We started the planning process. We were going to make this one fairly small so as to not stress the animals. But first.. we needed said animals. Robert reached out to a couple people but they balked it sounds like. I remembered there is a lady on the facebook page of the small community I live in outside of Oklahoma CIty. She raised chickens and ducks and sold their eggs to locals. So I decided to reach out. After a few messages and calls she was onboard - THANKS CASEY!!
The day arrived and Casey loaded up three ducks and a few chickens and we headed to downtown Oklahoma CIty. We have a great turnout of photographers and videographers and the day was a success to say the least. The ducks and chickens did amazing as well as our models - Caitlyn and Maddy. It was an all around great evening shooting something that isn’t the norm you see around. The feedback was great by all those involved and I think Casey had a great time as well.
Next up…. We will see… but there is always something cool we come up with so stay tuned.
