Third Thursday Bedford PhotoWalk and Light Painting!

Although I am a loyal customer of Bedford Camera and Video in Oklahoma City I have never been to one of their monthly PhotoWalks which are held every Third Thursday of the month. My good friend Robert Trawick was helping them out in August so I tagged along and glad I did. There was a large group of people from photographers to a couple videographers and then two models. The first part was the Emily (model) posing for whoever wanted shots. Like any other Meet up / PhotoWalk the number of photographers was large and hard to get in for many shots so I sat back and took a few shots but spent the evening talking to other photographers. One person I talked with was my friend Jamie Cobb.. a truly fantastic photographer and someone that brought new photography toys to the walk and had plans to bring them out to try once the walk was over and everyone left. We pulled Emily aside and asked her to stay after and she was more than happy once she heard what we had going on.

Jamie went to a seminar / training in Chicago last week and got to use some light painting equipment and was impressed enough to go ahead and buy a set for herself. And this is what she brought and man was it a blast to shoot with. After a little while of learning how to shoot and how to adjust settings to work with long exposure at night with LED lights took some time but at the end of the night I think everyone that stayed had a great time and we are further along with this light painting than we were when we showed up tonight. I might need to get me a set soon!! Enjoy the images below!
